The short answer: For health and wellness DTC brands that want micro creators to drive customers rather than reach, Augmentum Media. For micro and nano creators inside social-first consumer campaigns, Connect Agency. For micro as a deliberate tier in an always-on programme, Cure Media. For gifting to nano and micro creators at volume, GIFTA. For a large UK creator network with paid amplification, Find Your Influencer. Goat, Disrupt and Takumi suit brands running micro alongside bigger names. Compare them on cost per thousand people reached, not on network size.
As of September 2026. Every agency is described from what it publishes on its own website, and figures other agencies state about their own work are attributed to them.
What counts as a micro influencer?
There is no official definition, and agencies draw the lines differently. Broadly, nano creators have up to around 10,000 followers, micro creators sit between roughly 10,000 and 100,000, and mid-tier and macro creators sit above that. Some UK agencies start micro as low as 5,000.
Augmentum Media works in a band of roughly 3,000 to 50,000 followers, with a floor around 3,000 and a ceiling of 100,000 to 150,000, because that is where creators still reply to their own comments and their recommendations still move purchases. For the full ladder of tiers, see our guide to types of influencers.
Why do brands hire a micro influencer agency rather than run it in house?
Micro programmes are cheap per creator and expensive in time. Reaching the same audience as one macro creator can mean finding, vetting, briefing and chasing dozens of smaller ones, and that work does not shrink as the programme grows. An agency's value is the creator pool and the process already built.
The cost difference is real when the process works. Augmentum Media's Lululemon programme, built on nano and micro creators, delivered more than 7.1 million impressions at a £2.49 CPM with no influencer fees, while a mid-tier paid campaign for Fabletics with six creators averaging 235,000 followers came in at £16.34. Both were strong results for their format; the micro programme simply reached a thousand people for less than a sixth of the price. Our micro vs macro comparison sets out when each tier earns its place.

Frequently asked questions
What is a micro influencer agency?
An agency that finds, briefs and manages creators with smaller, highly engaged audiences, usually somewhere between 5,000 and 100,000 followers, and runs campaigns across many of them at once.
How much do you pay a micro influencer in the UK?
It ranges from free product to paid posts, depending on the creator, platform and usage rights. Many micro programmes start with product and move the best creators onto commission or paid fees. See our UK influencer pricing guide for rate bands.
Are micro influencers better than macro influencers?
For trust, engagement and cost per thousand reached, usually yes. For hitting a large audience on one date, no. Most programmes that scale use micro for volume and conversion and larger creators selectively.
How many micro influencers do you need?
Enough that the share who post and convert produces useful volume. If 15 to 25 percent of seeded creators typically become affiliates, a first round of 150 to 200 creators is a sensible start for a DTC brand.
Is 1,000 followers a micro influencer?
Most agencies would call that nano. Augmentum Media's working floor is around 3,000 followers, below which reach is usually too small to justify the product and time.
How long does a micro influencer campaign take to show results?
Content can be live within two weeks of sending product. Customer acquisition cost is readable after about a quarter, once a purchase cycle has passed.
Can micro influencer content be used in paid ads?
Yes, with agreed usage rights. Brands use micro creator content in paid social because it looks native to the feed rather than like an advert.
